Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration begins with my mother, whose strength, spirit, and love of music shaped my foundation as an artist. From there, my creative lineage expands to legendary guitarists who redefined the instrument: Eddie Van Halen’s explosive innovation, Joe Satriani’s melodic mastery, Buckethead’s fearless experimentation, and Carlos Santana’s soulful expression. Each has left a distinct imprint on my sound — but it all started at home.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I’d challenge the mainstream by standing for resonance over recognition. While others play for charts, SoundExcape plays for change. His set wouldn’t just entertain — it would provoke, awaken, and ignite. Think masked choirs, shattered instruments, and fiery solos — performance art with a purpose.
What would you do with $50,000?
If awarded $50,000, I would invest it in my family — the foundation of everything I create. Their support has been the quiet rhythm behind my loudest moments, and this funding would allow me to give back in lasting ways: from securing reliable housing and healthcare, to creating new educational opportunities, to reducing the daily burdens that often silence creative voices before they’re heard.
