Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration starts with Michael Jackson. He is the one that made me want to sing and be on stage. He just blew me away. Another one I must bring up is Lynyrd Skynyrd. They really made a big impact on me as a kid. They are huge inspirations as well. They gave me that push to really want to grow my hair long and rock. I must add one more to the list because Layne Staley is one of the greatest singers of all time. His voice was so amazing. He taught me how to use my pain through song.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would definitely impact my career because It would be a bit of a comeback. I did a show with a band I had at the time just a few months after losing my Mom and it went great. It was an awesome show but since then I've been just working and trying to take care of my little family. This opportunity would definitely change my entire life. I just want change and I feel I'm destined for something greater with this talent I've been given.
What would you do with $50,000?
With $50,000 I would take care of my family and put us in a better position financially. My job pays ok but it's hard. Things are expensive these days and trying to take care of three kids, living paycheck to paycheck, and driving an old beater that has no power steering. It's just one thing after another. 50,000 would help my family tremendously and would definitely be a blessing on my life.
