Who will perform at the Global Citizen Festival, appear in Rolling Stone, and take home $50,000?
Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My first musical inspiration was my mother who always had music playing growing up. I began studying piano and voice and as a young singer, I was inspired by Linda Ronstadt's versatility. Later came Freddie Mercury and Ann Wilson and I was determined to use my classical training to strengthen my pop/rock voice. Today, I am a rock singer songwriter and can really cover everything from American Songbook to R&B with some Andrea Bocelli mixed in. I love it all!
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
The exposure would be immense for me as an artist and I would be grateful for the opportunity to share in Global Citizen’s mission which is personal since my family donates regularly and sends aid to a young family in Uganda.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would give $5,000 back to Global Citizen's fight against poverty, invest $5,000 for future recordings and marketing, donate $5,000 to several charities and invest the remainder in my son’s education and future.
