Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I dabble around. I’m like a free range chicken. I pluck inspiration from just about anything. I love people like Dolly Parton, Shaboozey, Billie Holiday, Lady Gaga, but I love my local folk singers that you can just roll up to anytime.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Damn, it would be a game changer. I live in a population 1,000 town.
What would you do with $50,000?
I’d keep a bit but give the rest away or make a foundation to keep it going on giving back. I was a Make-A-Wish kid, grew up with a dirt floor cellar. Anything is possible though! So why not shoot your shot and try. The worst thing that happens is I get a “no.”
