Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Artistically, Lady Gaga, David Bowie, and Prince are my biggest inspirations. Their theatricality, their larger-than-life personas, the worlds they constructed made me feel like anything was possible when I was at my lowest. As a kid that was loud, unruly, and felt like I never fit in, they showed me that I could carve a place for myself in this world & I want to do the same for others.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
If there's one thing I bring to the table, it's my ability to connect with an audience & energize them. My shows are electric & cathartic, wild & liberating. Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would allow me to bring that experience to a wider audience, connect with people who would resonate with my message & story, and further build the community & world of my dreams. I believe if the world could see my live show on a grander scale, they would want to be a part of it!
What would you do with $50,000?
I would put that money toward developing & recording my passion project: an allegorical concept album (think nu-metal rock opera). I'd also allocate some of that to go toward theatrical, cohesive visuals. I'd plan a lot of that money to go toward touring & bringing that experience to the fans and make them a part of the story. Lastly, mental health & LGBTQ+ are two causes I really believe in, so I'd give some of that to those causes as it's a cornerstone of my artist project.
