Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Although my style of music is drastically different from this artist, I would have to go with David Bowie. His music is so unique and beautifully written. In the 70’s when Bowie began to gain traction, he started breaking down gender norms, and at the time that was a BIG deal. He was unapologetically himself and that’s so incredibly admirable. His legacy continues to live on along with his artistically captivating music.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the GCF would majorly impact me as a person. Performing in front of people is obviously scary, but playing for a crowd is so rewarding. Playing for such a large crowd of people would get my name out there. It also would mean so much for even ONE person to appreciate my music. That’s all I have ever wanted to do, move people with music—wether that be 1000 or 1, it would be just as rewarding.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would use $50,000 to help pay for college and to contribute to my career as an artist. For example, it could help pay for studio time, professional equipment, and repairing my guitar (which is currently broken).
