Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I remember listening to Mariah Carey and Toni Braxton as a little girl when my mom cleaned the house. I am heavily inspired by old school r&b and soul voices of the late 80s and 90s and my love and respect for that legendary era in music history.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would put me on the global map for the first time and provide me with a great opportunity to introduce myself on a global scale. Just to have the opportunity to perform on this scale would be the chance of a lifetime.
What would you do with $50,000?
When I was younger, I tried giving up on my singing career but it has pursued me relentlessly and I have experienced a great deal of dissatisfaction in my life without it. Winning the competition would give me full permission to live out my goals and have a fulfilling music career with the hope of extending the same opportunity to others who are in the same position I am in.
