Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Between the four of us, we draw from many different genres and styles. However, our sound can be most associated with the driving guitars of the 70’s, the grooves and aesthetic of the 80’s, and the introspective lyricism of the 90’s all put together in a modern fashion.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival could impact our career in so many ways. Playing here would give us the chance to show people who we are and what we are capable of. It’s an opportunity for high exposure, which can lead to new fans and more opportunities to play at festivals like this. Also, playing music for an important cause is big for us. That aligns not only with our musical vision, but with our life purpose as well.
What would you do with $50,000?
With the $50,000 from the festival, we plan to donate half of the winnings to St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix, Arizona, supporting our home state in providing food access and skill-building opportunities. The remaining half would be reinvested into the band to cover costs for recording, touring, merchandise, and marketing. This would help us to maximize Sun Dryd’s growth and development for the future.
