Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Our biggest inspirations are STS9, Ratatat, Pretty Lights, Pink Floyd and the Meters. Every day life and traveling the country in our van certainly inspires a lot of the material.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing there would be a monumental step in getting us from the struggling independent touring act level, to the touring act capable of making a difference level. We are so close to breaking that wall and a concert like this would put us in front of the audience we need.
What would you do with $50,000?
We would immediately donate a large portion of it to various organizations that we work with, to help provide funding assistance to music and art programs in public schools. The remaining balance would be used to make an album far beyond anything we've made so far
