Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Rage Against The Machine, Walter Hawkins, Vulfpeck, Chappel Roan, Charli, Jesse Welles, Nile Rogers, Daft Punk. I love innovators and I want to continue to change music and push the boundaries of what people thought they could hear or can make. I feel like America forces musicians into such distinct boxes and I want to break those forever
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would help momentum so much. I could sell T shirts, other merch, we’d make some great videos from that. It would help my band members get gigs too. They’re all so amazing and I just want people to see how great they are. I’m trying to get my keyboardist sponsored by Nord because she’s amazing. A big gig like that would go very far for us.
What would you do with $50,000?
Tour, see a therapist, pay my band way more, invest in new merch, get my guitar fixed, get new sneakers. I would like to invest most of it back into my band. I’d like to pay the people who already help me mostly for free. I have great friends who see my vision and help me so much. I’d probably give 10k to my manager, she helped me through some really tough times and i’ve always wanted to get her a dog or some other big gift that would improve her quality of life.
