Who or what is your musical inspiration?
A lot of classic rock/metal, punk, emo, post-hardcore, prog, avant-garde, experimental, extreme metal, alternative. The first band I ever loved was Queen and then came Bowie, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Rush, Black Sabbath, Metallica, and then Green Day, Misfits, My Chemical Romance, Iron Maiden, The Mars Volta. Some more recent inspirations have been Cardiacs, Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, and Glassjaw. My taste and inspiration is hard to limit. I want to make what won’t be made without me.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Suspended In Cobwebs has yet to perform at a festival, so it would be new territory for us. We believe we can stand out amongst the crowd and make a lasting impression.
What would you do with $50,000?
Put it directly towards recording the 10 track Suspended In Cobwebs album. Though my interest does lie in experimental and the avant-garde, polished hooky songwriting is a priority for me. It will be perhaps the weirdest project you can support for America’s Top Hitmaker.
