Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My biggest inspirations are Machel Montano, Vybz Kartel, and J Cole. A blend of Caribbean and American influences that helped shape my unique sound. Machel taught me the art of performance and energy, Kartel showed me the power of lyricism and cultural impact, and J. Cole inspired my storytelling and authenticity. Together, their influence has allowed me to create music that’s both rooted and relatable, global yet deeply personal.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would be a major milestone in my career—not just for the exposure, but for the meaning behind it. It’s a platform that connects music with purpose, and that aligns perfectly with who I am as an artist. This opportunity would not only elevate my career, but also allow me to represent where I come from and share my message with a wider audience.
What would you do with $50,000?
If I won the $50,000, I’d invest it directly into elevating my music and building a platform that lasts. I’d use it to fund high-quality production, visuals, and marketing to get my sound in front of a global audience. But just as important, I’d put funding into Nuu Gen, which is all about helping emerging artists get the tools, mentorship, and exposure they need to grow. I know how hard it is to break through without resources, so this isn’t just about my journey.
