Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My early musical influence was and still is Michael Jackson. Ever since I was introduced to his music as a kid I was hooked. I was an instant fan! I was just like every kid in the world trying to copy his moves and wanting to be as cool as he was. While attempting to sing his songs out loud one day in the living room, I hit a note and it actually sounded good. I surprised myself. That day I made the decision to pursure a music career as soon as I was able to understand what that meant.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be the experience of a lifetime! Not only would I be able to be heard on a major platform, I'd be able to rub shoulders with the artists I admire. Most importantly, I would take full advantage of the opportunity to network with as many people as I could to help build relationships and get insight on the music industry to help further my career. Have you ever woke up late at night craving a refreshing glass of water? That's me, I'm the water! The World NEEDS to hear Tay Scott!
What would you do with $50,000?
I'd start by putting a percentage towards the budget to complete my next album, "Passport Music." Clear up any debt myself or parents may have, & start a college fund for my son. He's 6 going on 16! I can assure you it would be "Invested" wisely. I'm currently working with a financial advisor to come up with a 5-10 year plan. My main goal is to become a Self-made Millionaire in the next 10 years. Lastly, If chosen it would change my life for sure!
