Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Inspiration comes from various places in my life. Everyday “life” situations, other peoples’ stories, what I watch on tv, what I hear on my own radio. Right now, my little girls and my husband are my inspiration. They keep me going on this journey even when I think it isn’t doable. Their belief in me has helped me believe in myself, and made me work harder than ever to get to the next level in my career.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Getting to have that opportunity would potentially open so many new doors for my career. Even on a collaborative level—getting to watch and learn at an event like that.
What would you do with $50,000?
$50,000 would change my families lives. I’d use that money to 100% focus on my career—whether that be making new music, getting to travel for shows beyond where I’m able to play now. Not having to worry about picking up side jobs, just be able to solely focus on the music.
