Who or what is your musical inspiration?
The Beatles were a perfect global music storm, and it hit me hard far away in Pakistan at an age where I had no choice but to surrender, especially when I learned that they were self-taught, I thought "wow, you can do that?" That's the magical inspiration which brought this Karachi Kid Dreamer to these United States, (Michigan, Texas, California). Very honored when asked to sing and light up first of the 25 Peace Candles at John Lennon's 25th Memorial at Capitol Records, Hollywood.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
The independently released debut album EARTHIOTIC (my word, a gift to the world :) was sub-titled songsfromaoneroompalace here in Santa Monica. Surprisingly it spawned a Top 10 Hit in Pakistan, Aao Aao Aao (sugi ka halwa). Video for the song Hallucination won Van Gogh's Best Avant Garde Film, Amsterdam and Mexico's Golden Palm Award with Official Selections at 8 other Film Festivals around the world including Cannes France Independent. If selected for GCF, it'd be the biggest boast by far.
What would you do with $50,000?
Would definitely start working on the overdue next album and enjoy the moment for the year as TEE-M "The Global Citizen Festival King" 2025 in addition to being the HalwaKing 😎 After you give a listen to the audios and watch the videos, please give about 20 minutes of your precious time to the photographs (big screen recommended), I guarantee you'll have a PHD in TEE-M after that.
