Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My main inspiration is the underground. I love subculture and punk and D.I.Y. ethics. Americana/bluegrass is my favorite medium because it’s raw and untethered to modern technology. I feel it gives me total control over my expression in a pure form.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I’d love the opportunity to show new fans what they’re missing! My band has been a crowd favorite at several festivals and a larger stage might be just what we need to break through.
What would you do with $50,000?
I’d buy a bigger trailer for the van so touring would be more comfortable and I’d invest in a high quality recording and marketing plan for the release of a new record. I’d also treat the band to a night out on the town. Maybe we’d go to Dave and busters, but we’d probably just go to a dive bar and end up in the hotel pool. Either way, we’d have a good time.
