Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I pull a lot of inspiration from the honest optimism of small-town Americana—hand-painted signs, bold script fonts, and that era when music had grit, heart, and a little bit of glam. I’m drawn to the groove of old-school funk and disco, the raw energy of rock—like flipping through radio stations on a long backroad drive, each song a snapshot of a different mood, but all part of the same ride. How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Having the opportunity to play such a prestigious event would be the release of energy I am in desperate need of. In terms of impact, it would enable me to meet other people who share a similar appreciation, or get to see a cool new thing that may resonate with them.
What would you do with $50,000?
Simple. Pay off student debt, rent out an apartment, and pursue other artist endeavors.
