Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My grandparents met through music. My mom and step dad played in big bands. But my older brother was my biggest influence. He has passed and I have written about him and will continue to create music for healing. And anything blues and soul definitely gives me chills…
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I wanna change the world with my music! Not only would it give me the chance to spread my music and message and connect with people, it would give even MORE people hope and healing! I would hope that would be just the start!
What would you do with $50,000?
I would be able to invest more in music so I could continue to PLAY!!! I play in Puerto Rico and would love to travel more. I’m setting up a small recording studio already at home and would LOVE some help! One thing we do already is SHIFT. A cd written by and for victims of domestic violence- a portion of the proceeds go to that cause in some way - we are Big Booty Joody! Big=big deal. Booty=loot that was stolen. Joody=domestic violence symbolism. And bills paid=more songs written! Aloha!
