Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration stems from my upbringing/culture (Latin American), artists I listen to, and sometimes, just plain being in the moment. I often target particular genres that I want to make. For example, I'll say, "I want to make a tropical house", and naturally the next song will just flow that way.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I think it would grow my audience significantly, but also give some thought to how my music can make an impact for a good cause. That's always what it should be about. I'm happy to be in the running!
What would you do with $50,000?
I would reinvest a lot of it back into the music. Probably focus on music for a while instead of worrying if I have enough money to pay my bills. Pay my musicians also, and try to book some tours. I would also give back to the causes that have supported me. Especially if the mission is to end poverty or for education. Both causes are dear to my heart.
