Who or what is your musical inspiration?
George draws his inspiration from a blend of genres, including punk, reggae, and R&B. Growing up in Chandler, AZ, he faced many challenges, but music became a powerful and positive force in his life. It offered him not only an escape, but a new lens through which to view the world—one filled with hope, connection, and creativity. During a formative time living in Hawaii, where he picked mangos to make ends meet, George was deeply influenced by the island's music and laid-back spirit.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would be a game-changing moment for George and The Irie. The event's global platform would expose their unique blend of reggae, rock, and island-inspired sounds to a massive international audience—many of whom may be discovering modern reggae for the first time. It would position The Irie as cultural ambassadors, showing how reggae continues to evolve while spreading messages of unity, love, and resilience.

It would allow the Irie to invest deeply in both their music and their mission.
