Who or what is your musical inspiration?
The records my mom had on the turn table in the dining room: The Beach Boys, Billy Joel, Phil Collins, Genesis. The 60’s bands my dad introduced me to: the Who, the Beatles, the Doors, Jimi Hendrix. The grunge bands of my youth: Weezer, Nirvana, Soundgarden, smashing pumpkins. The folk songwriters of the last 15 years: Sufjan Stevens, Gregory Alan Isakov, Lord Huron, David Ramirez.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would help get my message out to more men and the people who love them, building a community and further opportunities for service.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would purchase a travel van to take my family on the road.
