Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration comes from many places. I try to be a student of human nature, and I write about my own experiences and those of people I've known & loved, or maybe not loved. I am also an Episcopal priest, and though I do NOT make "Christian" music, my music is intensely and intentionally spiritual ~ I write about yearning ... yearning to understand, to belong, to be loved, to love ... to connect. How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would essentially *launch* my career! It would enable me to put my music in front of thousands, maybe millions, of people who would otherwise never notice me amongst the tens of millions of other indy artists out there. And I truly believe that all I need is the opportunity to be heard.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would love to build a consortium of independent, spiritually-minded musicians who understand that music is a universal language of connection and who want to be part of a worldwide community, creating opportunities for artists who might otherwise never get noticed to be heard & celebrated.
