Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Alice Cooper, Alice In Chains all the way to ZZ Top plus 70’s/ 80’s/ 90’s music so many to list. But finding musicians to create something special is the hardest part of music. So I started to teach myself how to play everything myself. This song has my friend Rob Mathiasch on guitar. Which ironically this song should have never happened. It came from a open recorded jam session. But the riff kept me going to write a whole song around it. I think its a hit. Hope you do too.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Great question I cannot answer completely. Any recognition is always a positive, I’ve had a tough road to write music. Starting as a drummer, that stepped away from them to see what else was possible. Teaching myself how to play other instruments was key to reinventing myself to always look at music from many different angles. As a drummer I look at it one way, as a singer almost the complete opposite way. Its vital to speak the other languages to better paint the picture.
What would you do with $50,000?
Well I hope keep it away from everyone…but probably have to pay off some debts….which is sad. But might be the grown up thing to do.
