Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My main musical inspirations are Pharrell, Prince, Mary J. Blige and Jeff Buckley. I have a deep reverence for artists with unique and distinct voices. I began my journey in music as a producer for other artists and used those experiences to learn and develop my own unique style and approach to music. I have learned so much from the artist I've worked with over the years, so I'm also inspired by them all.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I've been on this chaotic, beautiful journey for over 10 years. I've had time to hone my craft and develop a good array of performance skills. Performing at Global Citizen Festival would be my opportunity to put that hard work on display. It would be my chance to show the world that dedicating yourself to and working hard for something you love is worth it.
What would you do with $50,000?
I have a lot of creative promotion ideas, so I would use some of $50,000 to execute some of them. The rest I would use to get all the materials needed to go on tour. Thanks for taking time to read my submission. Have a good week/weekend.
