My latest album, TIKI SALOON, is a mix of cosmic country and psychedelic desert blues, full of dancy dub bass lines and 70s soul arrangement

Who will perform at the Global Citizen Festival, appear in Rolling Stone, and take home $50,000?
Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Folk and blues storytelling from every era and region carry familiar nostalgia, and align with that. Style-wise, I draw from 70s soul and dub reggae, psychedelic rock and dance music- from Merle Haggard to Peter Tosh, Ben Harper to Arctic Monkeys, Black Keys, Khruangbin, Hermanos Gutierrez, Skinshape, and Opez, Saharan blues and Augustus Pablo- think cinematic music at sunrise after dancing all night.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
More eyes and ears, more hearts and minds, more connection and reaction, and more touring opportunities are all what I need to further the scope of my reach.
What would you do with $50,000?
I’d finance a 2 month tour and pay for travel, band members, press, and one week of recording.
