Who or what is your musical inspiration?
We are influenced and inspired by so many other bands and performers. Top influences include Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Rush, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Wilco, Butthole Surfers, Early Punk, Yes, Sonic Youth, Primus, Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix, etc.. Our music is the culmination of our collective 100 years of songwriting experience and hard work to master our instruments. We strive for originality and authenticity in all of our musical compositions.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
We are comprised of 3 guys who are in their early 50s. Each of us have full time jobs that are unrelated to the music business. All of us have held the lifelong dream of music someday being our only job. We come to practice and our first instinct is to work on some of the hundreds of song ideas we have, but our regular jobs limit our practice time to a few hrs a week. Playing the Global Citizen Festival would give us the platform to prove our value to the world, and to record executives.
What would you do with $50,000?
We would probably pay a few bills first, then look for a great recording studio to start recording our songs. Simultaneously, we would look for and retain a marketing and management team to help get our music into the world, so we could make creating music our full time job.
