Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My biggest musical inspirations are ALL of the incredible female musician songwriters, composers, vocalists, and instrumentalists who have been pioneers in their genre. As a recent college graduate of a classical music program, I greatly admire and look up to composers like Clara Schumann and Amy Beach. In addition, my original music is greatly influenced by the amazing work of artists such as Stevie Nicks, Ann and Nancy Wilson, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Grace Slick and Janis Joplin!
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would impact my career in an incredible way! I’ve been performing professionally around the Gulf Coast since I was fourteen, and have built a very supportive regional audience. Even so, I have always dreamed of performing for more people on a much bigger stage. What would you do with $50,000?
I plan to use part of the $50,000 to re-invest in my career and put towards my first full album. I’d also make a donation to the Tyler Robinson Foundation. TRF helps families with the unseen costs of pediatric cancer. I began playing benefit concerts when I was 14 after my friend was diagnosed with brain cancer. I believe music can be an incredibly powerful force for good. I have raised over $60,000 for TRF and will continue to play my music to make a positive impact in the lives of others
