Who or what is your musical inspiration?
We're inspired by the quest for an infectious hook and our goal is to release and perform music that gets stuck in your head. Our high-energy, fun, and heartfelt songs are influenced by pop icons such as Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga for their incredible vocals and energy, and groups like ABBA for their iconic harmonies and creative, authentic songwriting.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
As an emerging NYC artist duo, performing at the Global Citizen Festival would be a dream come true. We are excited about the chance to share our music with a wider audience and share the stage with incredible performers. The festival’s focus on fighting poverty and environmental sustainability also aligns deeply with our values as long-term vegans and human rights advocates. This opportunity would amplify our voice even beyond our music career and connect us with a like-minded community.
What would you do with $50,000?
As vegans of 10 years who are passionate about both social justice and animal rights, we would start a franchise (or financially support existing NYC enterprises) that provide affordable or free plant-based meals and groceries to underserved communities. Many low-income areas lack access to healthy food due to inconvenience and cost. By offering affordable, nutritious, quick vegan meals, we'd aim to fight food deserts, and help animal rights as well.
