Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Our biggest inspiration is 90’s grunge bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains and Soundgarden. Also, alternative and folk music like Lumineers and Mumford and Sons made its way into our lives. We all grew up with 70’s rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd and AC/DC, old Outlaw Country such as Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash. We’ve all been in very different bands before our union - like metal, reggae and punk rock bands which have also greatly influenced our sound.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Our biggest dream is to get our music out there to as many people as possible. To allow them to experience our music and accept us for who we are. Performing at the Global Citizens Festival will give us a bigger platform and allow more people to hear us and hopefully through word of mouth, it will grow further allowing us access to other platforms and festivals. We desperately crave acceptance and validation that we are musicians worthy of being a part of this great experience.
What would you do with $50,000?
Winning $50,000 would give us an opportunity we’ve never had. We would invest that money back into the band. After careful consideration we’ve concluded to get the best bang for our buck would be to hire a publicist to further get our names out into the world, through magazine articles and website features. We would also utilize the money to purchase ads on social platforms giving us even greater exposure. We would like to record more of our music and purchase better grade gear.
