Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Early on I drew a lot of my stylistic preferences with rapping from my father. When I moved past just rapping my inspiration came from T-Pain, 808’s & Heartbreaks by Kanye West and old/modern R&B acts. Now I’d say that life inspires me above all else, to be able to take real moments and turn them into sonic soundscapes that transcend time and can connect with people forever is my driving force. How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would easily be the biggest show I’ve done to date and would give me the opportunity to leave a good impression on thousands of people at once. I can show the world who TWO32 is and what my music has to offer the industry and the ears of anyone who listens. It’d give me the room to differentiate myself once and for all and elevate my career.
What would you do with $50,000?
I’d take $9,000 to pay off my rent for a year so I don’t have the worry of making ends meet hanging over my head and impeding on my creativity. Then I’d invest in some new recording equipment because what I have now gets the job done but is outdated. I’d use some of it to make a couple high quality music videos at low cost and a large chunk of it to invest in promotion. With a solid rollout plan and budget for marketing I could use $50,000 to propel me to new heights!
