Who or what is your musical inspiration?
All the current male and female afrobeat artists including the godfather of the genre, Fela Kuti, have influenced my musical journey, but what most inspires me is my desire to pioneer afro-trap, where the blend of Afrobeats and American rap lyricism exist in one sound.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I sang my first words at 9 months old. As a child, had several pieces of both my writing and art recognized over various parts of my education. I was a high school IB Honors select due to scoring the highest on a middle school constitution test. As an adult, I've gone viral on Tiktok several times. Been interviewed on local radio, released two singles independently.. and even with a come up as colorful as that one, I still don't have the words to express how that performance would change my life
What would you do with $50,000?
I would finally have the oppurtunity to purchase the home studio setup needed to record my debut album titled "Intuition", I would purchase the exclusive licenses to all the beats of the songs I have currently drafted for that project, I would film the visuals for the lead singles, and use the remainder of the prize money to market the rollout and the release.
