Who or what is your musical inspiration?
All my faves like Aretha, Doja, EW&F, Jason Mraz, Jesse J., Lady Gaga, Mariah, Norah, Thundercat, Whitney, and new ones every day inspire me to keep making and playing music. Teaching kids music & performing all over the world tell me this is my gift to uplift & inspire so many every day.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It will allow me to find my global audience, people who love good music, who like dancing, smiling, & enjoying life to the fullest possible & by allowing me to do what I love every day! Having played the ukulele for 16 years now, I can write and perform my own songs which empower and bring joy to millions.
What would you do with $50,000?
I will record more music & write so many songs w/a manifestation angle 2 truly enhances one’s life experience to share nationwide w/self esteem shows in schools. This project will show how fun the ukulele can be 2 learn & play even at age 5 or even at age 71+ as my teacher in Hawaii was when she began?! I can share jazz, world music, Latin and every genre w/ukulele & tour the world & travel 2 bring smiles & happiness through music.
