Who or what is your musical inspiration?
VIOLET NIGHT's influences are The 1975 for their fearless genre-mixing and pop sensibility, My Chemical Romance for their theatrical storytelling and emotional weight, and David Bowie for his visionary artistry and ever evolving sound and commitment to artistry . We also channel the cinematic emotion of Coldplay, the alt-pop ambition of Twenty One Pilots. Our inspiration is to make something bigger than ourselves. A movement. True artistry. Not just music.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Playing at the Global Citizen Festival would be huge for VIOLET NIGHT. It’d give us the chance to perform on a massive global stage, with millions tuning in. Sharing the bill with some of the biggest names in music would give us serious credibility, and the exposure could open up so many doors. Bigger festivals, brand partnerships, and a whole new audience. A chance to connect with people around the world and really show who we are.
What would you do with $50,000?
The first move would be securing a tour van to support our upcoming Canadian and U.S. tour dates as new signees of Dynamic Talent International. Beyond that, we'd invest in building a more immersive live show, lighting, visuals, and stage design to match the cinematic energy of our music. We'd also put funds toward international PR, strategic ad campaigns, and pressing vinyl/merch. Basically, we’d take everything we’re doing and level it all the way up.
