Members of The Caynyne Consortium, a group of scholars dedicated to studying Warlander, agree that he was probably a musician before arriving on Earth. There is insufficient data regarding prior exposure to cultural influences, but Warlander describes his music as a product of "primitive percussion from the future", acknowledging archetypal rhythmic patterns, which have "the energy to connect and move large populations of people simultaneously.”
