Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My music is strongly influenced by Hip-Hop culture. I’m a storyteller, a griot. Hip-Hop is rooted in elements of expression, it revolves around storytelling and community. These are the things I live for. I have seen how music has made an impact on communities all over the world, both positive and negative. I have noticed an imbalance when it comes to Hip-Hop music in particular, and I want to play a role in leveling things out and inspiring and uplifting communities.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would not only be a milestone for me, it would also provide a platform for me to inspire people from different walks of life. Surely it would progress my career and expose me to new markets, gifting me the opportunity to find my target audiences. Finding these audiences would increase my sales and bookings, helping me to make a living off of my art. Something I have dreamt of since I was in elementary school.
What would you do with $50,000?
If I were to win the $50,000, I would first set aside a portion to save in an account with a higher than average interest rate. I would use this money to build wealth that I can fall back on or pass down to my family. Another portion would be used to take care of my debts and expenses for the next few months as I craft the next project I would like to present to the world. The final portion of the money would be used to fund future opportunities and projects including: Albums/EPs, Music Videos,
