Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration comes from every experience, musical or not, throughout my life. I was filled with good music at a young age by my parents with the greats like Fleetwood mac, the beatles, and Michael Jackson my and my brother, who is 8 years older, kept me hip with the times. My first 3 cd's were passed down from him in the mid 90s: Weezer, Nirvana, and Green Day. I continued to develop my own tastes but by middle school I fell in love with indie and that's what I love most still today.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I want more than anything to be a full time musician and to write songs that help people through this life. I believe performing at Global Citizen Festival would be a huge step toward reaching that goal.
What would you do with $50,000?
First, I would buy a guitar. I've given a few away and recently had one stolen. Im a singer, much more than a guitar player, but I really want to develop my abilities as a musician. All of the money would be put towards furthering the bands career and the most expensive and valuable asset I would use the money for is time; time in the studio and time for the band to get away from our jobs to write and record and do what we love most.
