Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Gratitude, traditional style adopted from the legacy of sufi qawwali music. A one of a kind bass tabla that the world yet has to dance to. Nusrat fateh ali khan Guinness Book of World record holder for most released and recorded music in a lifetime is my teacher. I've performed with his tabla player of 30 years ustad dildar khan internationally for the last 20 plus years. I have been world renowned through my band fanna fi allah and toured the qorld to spread the message of qawwali music
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
This would have a huge impact after 20 plus years of the labor of love, I could actually share with a greater audience and make strong musical connections to build new projects. After 25 years now Iam focused on collaboration and composing new music fusing the eastern qawwali inspiration with a dynamic western twist.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would immediately be able to produced the music the world is waiting for. In such tines this huge blessing would empower me to tour and release my awaiting tracks for listen dancing pleasure. I need to heal my wounds with sharing and therefore heal more mental struggles through the mysticism of ancient techniques and sound. A one of a kind healing to support the masses through musical medicine the funds would go to complete my next phase in this long long journey please and thank you
