Who or what is your musical inspiration?
The 20th Century, the first hundred years of recorded music. Being a student of the 20th century', I try to do things that haven't been done to death. It starts with the songwriting; a skill I have been honing since I was a teenager. I grew up in the 1960's & 70's listening to The Beatles and The Stones on the am radio in the car with my family, going somewhere to sing Gospel music. I was not inspired to play guitar until I heard the first strains of "Good Times, Bad Times".
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I wanted to tour this year, but it wasn't to be. Performing at Global Citizen would likely be the beginning of many more live performances in 2025.
What would you do with $50,000?
Pay debt and go on the road. Without a doubt, Global Citizen will be the beneficiary of all that comes after... When there is enough for everybody, it's insane to think that there ARE people who survive on less everyday than what we might spend in a vending machine in the United States. Certainly in the absence of U.S.A.I.D., People of conscience and even meager means MUST step up to fill the gap. I'm proud to be in your top five!
