Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My music is influenced by artists who create from a place of truth and soul—like Fantasia, Le’Andria Johnson, Lauryn Hill, Jazmine Sullivan, and Tasha Cobbs Leonard—whose raw emotion deeply resonates with me. I admire J. Cole’s storytelling and Missy Elliott’s fearless creativity, both of which inspire me to dig deeper and dream bigger. My sound transcends any one genre. As a multi-genre artist, I channel the beauty in all forms of music.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would be a full-circle moment—for my career and the little girl who’s been singing since two. I’ve spent my life putting others first, but this is my time. My moment. A chance to prove I’m worthy and always have been. It’s more than exposure—it’s a stage to show the world my strength, vulnerability, and raw, unapologetic artistry.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would invest the $50,000 into my nonprofit, Tenants with Tenacity — a modern transitional housing program for people with disabilities, survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, veterans, etc. The funds would help furnish SROs, expand services, provide meals, job readiness support, and counseling — empowering residents to rebuild their lives with dignity, safety, and stability.
