Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I’m Young Kong, an artist who turned a speech disability into musical inspiration. From performing for Violator Management in 2012 to releasing Ain’t Right during the pandemic, I’ve grown as both an artist and entrepreneur, studying marketing to push my music independently. I’m ready to elevate my sound and complete End of an Era. This contest is my next step toward turning adversity into impact.

Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would elevate my career by giving me a global platform to share my story of resilience, growth, and purpose. It’s a chance to inspire others facing adversity, connect with new audiences, and prove that an independent artist like me belongs on the world’s biggest stages. This moment could open doors that push my music and message further than ever before.
What would you do with $50,000?
With $50,000, I’d invest in completing and promoting my project End of an Era, including professional mixing, mastering, visuals, and targeted marketing. I’d also fund live performances and collaborations to expand my reach. Most importantly, I’d use the momentum to create opportunities for other emerging artists facing barriers, turning my win into a platform for impact and representation.
