I love music. I am music. I have a real passion for the music not for what comes with it.
Thank you for generously supporting Yung G in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to empower Global Citizen in their mission to eradicate extreme poverty and create a world where everyone has an equal chance to thrive.
Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I think Drake is definitely a big inspiration for me as well as Lil Wayne rice and Tiller. There’s a lot of artists I think that helped to shape my sound my ear and my vision when it comes to music, but I’d say they are the main ones.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I really have felt like the only thing that’s been missing for me. Is the opportunity and the platform to be able to get my music out I’ve never been back by a label or by a machine that job was to push my music so it could be heard.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would use it to capitalize on the momentum. I finally be able to get studio equipment for the crib to be able to have access to record whenever I want whenever I get a melody in my head. It would allow me to truly put out my best work in the form of an album and set me up to be able to have more music videos and promote.
