Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Growing up, I was hugely influenced by my dad's and godfather's classic rock collection—like The Beatles, Queen, and Eric Clapton. Then, I discovered Latin artists like Juan Gabriel and Luis Miguel through my mom's side of the family. In college, I fell in love with more eclectic sounds—Elton John, Billy Joel, and Snarky Puppy. Recently, I've been exploring musical theater, finding new ways to tell stories through performance.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would transform my career overnight. Sharing the stage with artists I've looked up to my whole life feels like a dream. Representing Latin American culture and music on a global platform like this would be an honor. I´m thrilled to share a message of acceptance and hope with thousands of new listeners who might connect with my story. This pivotal moment could take me from small venues to a worldwide audience. What would you do with $50,000?
I'd invest most of it into creating the kind of show I've always dreamed of - with the theatrical elements and visual storytelling that could set me apart. I'd use part of it to record and produce new music, showing who I am. But giving back is also essential - I'd partner with nonprofits supporting LGBTQ+ youth and organizations fighting against body shaming and promoting mental health. These causes shaped me, and I want my success to help others facing similar struggles.
