I've put hours on the drums every single day for the last 700+ days. Im doing all that for me. And to inspire a few people along the way
Thank you for generously supporting Ayden Carey in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to empower Global Citizen in their mission to eradicate extreme poverty and create a world where everyone has an equal chance to thrive.
Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My playing and singing is most influenced by pop-punk, nu-metal and post-hardcore. But my main inspirations for playing would have to be Phil Collins, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen, and Tool. (Danny and I share the same last name which I find to be interesting in and of itself.)
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would mean the absolute world to me. I work hard and play harder, and would just love to be able to show people, that even if you have had setbacks and delays in life, you can get to where you want to be.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would use that money to purchase proper equipment, a space to practice/record, and set myself up to be able to produce my dream. I currently play on a $670 electric kit. With a set of pearl demonators. I live on my own, I make due with what I have and I would continue to get further faster with the proper funds and environment.
