Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Nirvana. Yet also my inspiration is the hard rage that women feel, the difficult social circumstances we find ourselves in. My art is pure rebellion, I am a woman who is passion for telling the truth.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be an incredible opportunity and privilege to connect with people who really might need to hear this music, plus see a woman embody her rage and pain in an honest but meaningful and hopefully poetic way.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would use this money to go on tour. My project is a 5 piece band and as a fully independent artist I can not support a national tour and pay my musicians. This would give me the means to tour key cities in America, pay my musicians a living wage, and account for travel and accommodation while on the tour.
