Who or what is your musical inspiration?
We don’t draw inspiration from any one musician or another, but instead draw inspiration from musical genres across the spectrum. From blues, to emo, to pop, to hip hop, to R&b, and from dance music. We push our sound to diversity with intentions of representing our roots, our upbringing, and our cultures.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Each of us in our group have been performing and touring as starving artists for 15+ years. Two of us have children, and one of us is getting married this year. Having an opportunity to perform at the Global Citizen Festival would provide each of our families with the opportunity to live a prosperous and fortunate life as we pursue life long passions as a career.
What would you do with $50,000?
We would use the $50,000 to reinvest in our futures as musicians so that we can continue helping our communities and fans through our music, and these proceeds would significantly help us perpetuate our connection to our communities by reinvesting part of the proceeds to local non-profit organizations in our communities that seek to lift up less fortunate but aspiring musicians in our home city of Milwaukee.
