Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Nina Simone for her passion,Ella Fitzgerald for her interpretation and technique, Edie Gorme who never got the recognition she deserved, such a huge range, Diana Kral for her smooth sound and Bruce Barth my mentor who mind melds with a singer like no other.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I am a bit of a unicorn in that I’ve had a Fulsome career as an architect/lawyer and now it’s time to follow a passion that has lain dormant for a long time, but, as they say, if not now when? In fact, it is this change of life that influenced the title of my first album, “Just in time“. performing at the global citizen's Festival would mark an incredible Highpoint in my life that is quite meaningful at my age. What would you do with $50,000?
first, I would pay back all those incredibly generous family members, friends, strangers that saw something in me they could support even when they didn’t have to. Then, I would like to start a foundation that could assist young people in their dream to pursue music.
