I am versatile. On my Spotify, you’ll find songs where I’m singing and rapping. I make hip hop and soul music. My music’s for everyone.
Thank you for generously supporting Trumayne in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to empower Global Citizen in their mission to eradicate extreme poverty and create a world where everyone has an equal chance to thrive.
Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration is my father Big Shug, co-founder of the legendary group Gang Starr. I have been going to the studio since I was 5 because of him. From hip-hop to soul music, I learned everything from him and have grown into my own artist.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would impact my career by letting new ears listen to my music, attracting more fans. I want to grow my fanbase and hopefully perform at more music festivals in the future. Performing would also align me with a good cause, as I want to help fight world hunger and poverty.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would donate some of the money to a foundation that is fighting world hunger and poverty. I would also use the money to help boost my music career to new heights. I have student loans for my MBA program that I have to start paying, as well.
